Room 613, BCC-FAU Higher Educational Complex
This state-of-the-art facility has eighteen workstations and a matching instructor's station. In additon to regular classes, it is available to rent for planning and technology instruction purposes. Please contact the VPT Lab Coordinator at 954-762-5119 to schedule a class or for rental fees.
We recently upgraded all of our computers and now this 1,300 square foot room is equiped with:
- Nineteen 64bit Dell Precision workstations with 2.4Ghz Quad-core CPUs, 4GB RAM, 256MB Graphic Cards and DVD/CDRW drives
- 20 inch Ultrasharp flat panel monitors; twelve of which are under glass in Nova stations*
- An extra-bright easy-to-read Proxima XGA Projector and large motorized drop-down screen
- A motorized ADA lectern
- One 6 foot Panafax electronic white board (that adds to the 18 feet of white board already on the instruction wall)
- Twenty-two cushioned office chairs
- Software includes:
- Microsoft Office 2007 (Access, Excel, Groove, InfoPath, OneNote, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word)
- Adobe Design Standard Creative Suite 3 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional)
- ESRI ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 (ArcInfo Client)
- ESRI ArcScene 9.2 and ArcGlobe 9.2
- Crystal Reports for ArcGIS
- SPSS 15.00
- Google Sketch-Up Professional 6
- Google Earth
- Microsoft Virtual Earth 3D
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional 64x Edition Operating System
Plus, bathrooms and snack machines are within 100 feet.
*Nova stations give students an unobstructed view of the instructor while allowing for large format materials to rest on the desk.
