3D Planning is starting to come to the forefront because of the relative ease of use of new and developing software. Where it once took days and weeks to create three dimensional models of buildings; now they can be created in a matter of hours. Through 3D modeling (dynamically connected to a GIS database), we can now explore ideas in land development, transportation, green space preservation, and emergency management with a better understanding of their outcomes. |
